Okay, a couple of things...

♥ First, and I think, the funniest:

My mom called me just a few minutes ago because she was having a problem with Fable 2. (My mom is in her 60's but she's a gamer too). So her problem is that she plays her characters, always, lawfully good. That's all well and good and all but sometimes she runs into issues. Like the Westcliff demon door. You have to be corrupt in order for the door to open. Being that she's a bit of a completionist, it drives her crazy to not be able to open all the doors, collect all the keys, destroy all the gargoyles, etc... I usually play my characters chaotic evil so sometimes she needs my help.

She told me that she's run up over $5000 gold in gambling debt, killed some villagers, and had lesbian sex with a prostitute in Bloodstone and he still won't let her in. So, after I stopped laughing at the idea of my mom (conservative Christian woman) picking up a hooker in town, I advised her to raise the rent on all of her properties to 100% and sleep for a week. Her corruption should go up and it won't affect her evil/good scale.

♥ On the icon making front, there will be another post in a week or so. I made some PotC (Captain Jack!) icons for an icontest at disneychrtricon but submissions are still open so go enter!!!!!!!!! *ahem* I'll wait until I have a nice mixed batch of Alice, PotC, and any other random thing I happen to get obsessed with in the next few days. I think I need some Eureka icons too.

♥ Oh, and I'm finally going to go see New Moon tomorrow. Hopefully the Edward fangirls will be few and far between (except my Aunt, who I'm going with ) and I'm exposing my mom to it too. So that should be entertaining. Tonight mom wants to watch Twilight, since she's not ever seen it and she hasn't read the books. My Aunt on the other hand, is a serious fangirl, even read the books dozens of times.

I'm all excited... again.

You guys know that I like Twilight. The books are like crack, but more addictive and not as good for you. That is not the point of this post.

Anyway, for the most part I'm excited about the movies. The first one was decent, even though I hate Catherine Hardwicke (unpopular opinion #1). However, as I'm watching the trailers for New Moon, my excitement is heavily dampened by one simple fact.

I think that Kristen Stewart is a bad actress. (unpopular opinion #2)
I saw her in The Messengers and I didn't notice that she was bad so much. It was just her role, I thought.

But everytime I see the birthday party scene in the New Moon trailer it becomes increasing obvious. I'll still see the movies and buy them on DVD when they come out but, I really don't enjoy watching her. She sucks.

I'm reading Watchmen right now but someone wants to borrow my New Moon. So, of course, I'm having the urge to re-read it. Why does that happen?

Tonight is Supernatural. Whoo hoo! I'm having mixed feelings about this episode though. I know that it will all work out, but the teasers all remind too much of an AU fic so I'm actually having a hard time with it.

I'll watch it, obviously, but for some reason I'm kinda dreading it. It might be the whole AU vibe, I'm getting or maybe its just a bad feeling (left over from last week) because whatever is going to happen will be much MUCH worse before it gets better.

Also, I'm having one of those days where I just want to slap someone. D:<

• The craptastic movies I bought from Amazon last week arrived yesterday. They are cheesy(*cough* see my new icon *cough*) but I like them anyway. I bought Sugar & Spice, Fast and the Furious:Tokyo Drift,and Thirteen Ghosts
  
  
• Speaking of craptastic... I have to comment on Stephen King saying that Stephenie Meyer doesn’t write worth a damn. I love Stephen King. I have been reading his novels since Elementary School, and I’m sure that probably explains a lot. He’s read the book, maybe all of them *shrugs*, and he has given his opinion. I respect him as a writer and therefore, I respect his opinion. Its no secret that I am a Twilight fan but I’m certainly not delusional.
  I like the story, the little world that she has created and I have read the books dozens of times.
  Its not great literature. I’ve decided to compare it to reality tv. It doesn’t matter if it has any redeeming value or not, you like what you like.
  
  
• I’m in the middle of about 5 books. I need to finish one of them this weekend. Talk about a short attention span. *eye roll*
  
  
• We’re starting to close the office at noon on Fridays.
  Good news: My Friday afternoons will be mostly quiet and peaceful now that I don’t have to deal with the customers, stupid phone calls, and the people off the street.
  Bad news: I might actually have to work all afternoon on Fridays now instead of taking my mini breaks to check my flist and emails.
  
  
• I stayed up far too late last night watching tv. Bones, Supernatural, Burn Notice. At ten o'clock, I decided to hop online and check my flist. At 11:30, I finally went to bed. *smacks hand* Bad girl.

Random stuff as I'm walking out the door.

First of all, let me just point out that I am a smoker. I don’t smoke a lot, maybe 4 or 5 a day. Still, I feel this is important information to include.

This woman walks in a few minutes ago and she appears to be smoking. Not with a cigarette, her hair has smoke coming from it. O_o And she reeks.

I’m wearing my cloak today (more Greta Garbo than Dark Lord of the Sith). It was snowing when I left my house this morning and I ♥ it so much. Its like wearing a blanket all day.

Also, I was looking on imdb to see if they had anything on New Moon yet. Unless I sign up for Pro, I can only see the date 2010. Eclipse in 2012 and Breaking Dawn in 2013.

Been away from the internet since the day before Thanksgiving. I’m cutting this for length. Under the cut there is talk of family, movies, NaNo, Death Note, and the Twilight saga. ( cut to save your flist )

I should have watched The Incredible Hulk last night so I could send it back today but instead I played a demo of SceneIt! for the Xbox 360 which I want to buy now and then Assassin’s Creed. No holiday would be complete without some senseless violence, right?

Well, its been a hectic couple of days here at work. I swear this hurry up and wait system is going to kill me one of these days.

I’m typing this on Word even though I’m also doing an inventory and two estate tax returns for some probates. I feel the need to post, its been too long since I have. I’ve been working on this post for two hours, I feel like there should be more content to this.

I just got hit on by a middle aged attorney. For some reason, I was just totally surprised by that.

More twilight talk...

Ok, I’m a fan. I enjoy the books (rereading them for the umpteenth time actually), I enjoyed the movie, and I have fandom tattoos.

I have a death eater tattoo, I have a tattoo in Mandarin Chinese that says Serenity, and I’ve been considering on whether or not to get tattoos that look like this and this. I’m leaning towards getting one after the new year.

But this makes me shake my head. If it was subtle, where only fandom would recognize it, I would probably be fine with it. Its huge though and it’s not at all creative.

I didn’t make the macro, tetrabinary posted it in all_macros and it made me O_o.

Just a few random thoughts:

1. TGIF, I mean this seriously has been one long frickin' week and I'm so glad its almost over.

2. My photoshop 5 really sucks. I have got to upgrade. What do all of ya'll use to make icons?

3. I'm finally getting my comments in my email again which is severly cutting back on the amount of time that I am spending online. The last few days I was having to backtrack on lj to try and keep up.

4. I still ♥ Supernatural. I hate the mini hiatus.

5. I watched the Death Note live action movie again last night after I should have been in bed. Did you know the first movie is 2 hours long?

6. I'm almost finished with my NaNo. It is in desperate need of editing but that will have to wait until next month.

7. Twilight today. I want to go see the movie this weekend but I don't know if I will be able to manage to get out to the theatre or not. *sigh*

Been super busy today so this is only a psuedo-post. Hi *waves*

Saw this on my flist today, had to share. Full scene in Twilight.

I really liked the Evil Dead movies. My favorite scary movie is hard to narrow down because I absolutely LOVE them. My favorite villains are Freddy Krueger and Pinhead but, the movie that I recommend to everyone is called In the Mouth of Madness. I think because in my head, I can believe it. I guess its just the way I'm wired but most scary movies don't scare me.

That one genuinely freaked me out the first time I saw it. Then I had to get everyone I knew to watch it too.

On another note: I'm having a dilemma. I've signed up for NaNoWriMo. I have a story just itching to come out. I have my normal day to day things and Twilight is coming out in November. So, before opening night I have to be ahead on my word count so that I won't have to stay up and try and write when my brain is still wrapped around Twilight. No vampires in my story. I told mom that I am going to be writing a novel next month and she said, "Good. I'm glad you're writing again. *pause* Horror?"

I'm having an absolutely squeetastic night.

So my friend, zanyzounds, calls me up today.

A few weeks ago I tried to convince her to read Twilight. I called it literary crack. Then I brought it up a time or two later.

Seems she finally picked the series up yesterday.

She finished Twilight in a day and was up until 3 a.m. to read it.
She says, "I have a 9 month old, I can't be obsessed with a book."
I said, "Sure you can"

I'm about to get dressed and leave for the midnight Breaking Dawn release.

I just found out that there is a midnight release only 30 miles from my house. I am so there.

I can't guarantee anything but the post where I found the first 100+ pages of the new book is now gone. The link I posted to it says, "No Such Entry" and where I got the pages from no longer exists.

It seems that the alleged spoiler is true then. And you know what, I LIKE IT.
I may be in the minority but oh well.
